Flight For the Future
At Mach Speed, we're dedicated to reporting on the latest advancements in building the next generation of flight. However, we also believe it's crucial to address the challenges we face today as we work together to establish this future. That's why we've committed to a host of sustainability programmes and are hosting monthly- and year-round fundraisers which support charitable initiatives to ensure we use our influence for positive change.
Below you can learn more about our Flight For The Future campaign, which houses multiple initiatives that we currently support, along with our goals for the future, and why we believe in using our brand to raise awareness, advocate for change, and take direct action in order to protect our future.
Project Mach
Project Mach is our sustainability program focused on safeguarding our future by supporting initiatives and raising awareness to combat the devastating effects we currently face from climate change. We aim to use Project Mach to amplify awareness, accelerate change, and celebrate the people and communities across our planet.
Aviation is the second biggest polluter in transportation, with the emissions from one domestic flight adding up to 133g of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere. During cruising, this can add an extra 121g of CO2.

To combat this, we're supporting the British Airways Flightpath to Net Zero by 2050 project to help fund carbon removal projects and aid the development of sustainable aviation fuels. Since January 2025, we've removed 100kg of CO2 from the atmosphere. That's one entire flight's worth of CO2 emissions removed from the atmosphere. On top of this, our reporting highlights companies working to shape a better world for aviation.
Giving
For 2025, we're raising funds for Spain. On the 29th of October, 2024, a cold drop brought harsh flooding to Spain, making it one of the worst floods in decades. A year's worth of rain fell within a single day, affecting the livelihoods of over 190,00 people, causing widespread devastation, with over 95 people dead, and many areas still inaccessible for first responders.

While recovery efforts are ongoing, a lot of survivors still lack shelter, food, and drinking water, and some require urgent medical care. Our support is critical to help those affected to rebuild their lives by providing emergency aid and long-term support.
All donations to the fund this month assist survivors in affected communities. These efforts are led by GlobalGiving's network of vetted partners. The fund initially aims to help meet survivor's needs of food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products and shelter. As they evolve, the fund will transition into long-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted non-profits, which Mach Speed will support.
You can donate to the fund directly here.
